May 5: Eta Aquariid Meteor Shower
Eta Aquariids produce 20-30 meteors per hour. Great show of super-bright meteors called fire-balls.
May 7: Last 2020 Super-moon (Flower Moon)
Next Super-moon will arrive on April 26, 2021.
May 12: Jupiter & Moon
Moon & Jupiter will have a close encounter in the morning of May 12. So close, we can view simultaneously through a telescope.
May 14: Mars & Moon
Just before dawn, moon approaches Mars in the night sky. Red planet & moon will be drawn together, easy to spot with naked eyes.
Will keep eyes glued to the sky, need to polish night vision though…
