The power of advertising to challenge gender stereo-types is a phenomenal, largely an untapped force for good.
Stereo-type smashers of women, in advertising. Incredible and look forward.
Stereo-type smasher:
Empathetic, determined not to be confined by outdated gender stereo-types. Advocates for genuine change at a grassroots level.
Woman with a bloody period:
Not wearing skin-tight white jeans, inexplicably roller-skating or pouring a blue liquid into a sanitary pad, just for kicks. A woman’s period is bloody, so bloody painful and emotionally complex.
Sweaty sports-lover:
Find her on sports fields, bikes with mud, in a gym all sweaty, on roller-skates, in a football team. Not feeling an existential crisis about getting her hair wet.
Reminds me of my cricketing career!
Ageing brilliantly:
Understands that ageing is one of life’s greatest privileges, comfortable in her own skin. Adventurous, joyful, intelligent.
Sharing the load:
Happy to share domestic load with a partner, who is supportive.
The best is yet to come – a fresh generation of female talent using their charm, creativity and compassion in new, beautiful and inspiring ways.
Coffee, contour and confidence!
