The blog will pick a word of the week, to share & explore the selected word. Here’s an expression for the word – emotion. Defined as a strong feeling deriving from one’s circumstances, moods, experiences, expectations or relationships. An instinctive or intuitive feeling as distinguished from reasoning or knowledge. The word ’emotion’ was coined in the 1800s by Thomas Brown. “The best & the most beautiful things in our world must be felt with the heart” – Helen Keller. Our emotions make us human, the driving force of our life.

“Every breath we take can be filled with peace, joy & serenity” – Thich Nhat Hanh. Our mind is like water. When it’s turbulent, it’s difficult to see. When it’s calm & peaceful, everything becomes clear. To understand the immeasurable, our mind must be extraordinarily quiet & at peace. “There is peace, even in the storm” – Vincent van Gogh. “We don’t realise that, somewhere within us all, there does exist a supreme self who is eternally at peace” – Elizabeth Gilbert.
Inner peace is the greatest & the most valuable treasure that we can discover. Peace brings with it so many positive emotions that it is worth aiming for in all circumstances. “Peace is not something you wish for. It is something you make, something you are, something you do & something you give away” – Robert Fulghum. It is a journey of a thousand miles that must be taken one step at a time. Peace is our priceless gift to each other.
