ERAVIKULAM NATIONAL PARK

Tallest peak in South India (Anamudi, 2700 mtr), rare endemic animals like Indian Porcupine, Nilgiri Langur, Nilgiri Marten, Small-clawed Otter. Nilgiri Tahr, an endangered goat-like ungulate.

PARAMBIKULAM TIGER RESERVE

In Palakkad district. Claim to fame is TigersIndigenous tribes like Kadar, Malasar, Muduvar, Mala Malasar.

PERIYAR TIGER RESERVE

Cardomom Hills of Thekkady. Stunning tiger reserve. White Tigers, Lion-tailed Macaques, Dholes (Wild Dogs), Birds.

SILENT VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

Endangered Lion-tailed Macaques, birds. Indigenous Irula, Muduga, Kurumba tribes.
