Denver based Boom is poised to produce 1st supersonic jet since Concorde retired over 15 years ago. Japan Airlines is an early investor. A 55 seat airliner will fly at twice the speed of sound at Mach 2.2.
The idea of flying in 1/2 the time from East Coast to London, from West Coast to Japan is hard to resist. Company claims fares will be equivalent to business class prices.
Boeing 777X

Buzz: Worthy heir to 747 mantle
777X is billed as the best with a capacity of 406 passengers in a sophisticated multi-class layout. Boeing 777X’s standout feature is a unique folding wing. Bends at a right angle so wide-body can scrunch into tight docking spaces at airports.
Emirates is expected to launch the jumbo in 2020. Lufthansa, Qatar, Singapore next.
