Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Maple Apple Butter. Caramelised, crispy, delicious. Brussel sprouts are one of the most versatile, healthy, hearty vegetables.

  • Brussel Sprouts – Cut in half length-wise
  • Olive Oil – Toss brussel sprouts in olive oil
  • Garlic Powder – Compliments sweetness of maple syrup
  • Salt + Pepper – A little extra seasoning
  • Maple Syrup – A flavour of fall
  • Apple Butter – Apple butter acts as a carameliser
  • Pecans – Adds an earthy flavour

INGREDIENTS:

    • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, stem removed
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
    • 3 tablespoons apple butter
    • 3/4 cup raw pecans

INSTRUCTIONS:

    1. Pre-heat oven to 400ºF, spray baking sheet with cooking spray
    2. Prepare Brussels sprouts by washing, patting dry, halving the long way
    3. Place Brussels sprouts on large baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, toss
    4. Season with garlic powder, salt, pepper, toss again
    5. Bake at 400ºF for 20 minutes
    6. Mix apple butter, maple syrup. Set aside
    7. Remove Brussels sprouts from oven
    8. Spoon 3 tablespoons of apple butter mix
    9. Toss to ensure everything is fully coated
    10. Move Brussels sprouts to one side, spray other side with cooking spray
    11. Add raw pecans
    12. Toss pecans in remaining apple butter mix
    13. Spread pecans out evenly
    14. Roast at 400ºF for another 15 minutes
    15. Serve hot
