Amaretto hot chocolate…

Raining hard, very cold. Sitting by the window, a favourite spot at home. All wrapped up in a warm blanket with a nature book and a cup of spiked hot chocolate…

There’s nothing like sipping a toasty drink in the fall or winter. Hot apple ciders to spiked hot chocolates.

Amaretto, a sweet Italian liquor, smells beautiful. Such a yummy, almond flavour. Pairs perfectly with hot chocolate.

  • 3 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 oz Amaretto
  1. Place almond milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup in a sauce pan
  2. Turn heat to high, bring to boil
  3. Reduce heat to low, let simmer for 5 minutes
  4. Place 1 oz Amaretto at the bottom of 2 mugs
  5. Pour in hot chocolate
  6. Serve hot
