Colours…

Email: Teenager behaves differently after Mom’s death. Doesn’t say why? (US)

Sorry to hear. Here’s what I perceive. We’re born to experience a complex array of diverse emotions. Though, at times feel uncomfortable with powerful emotions. So, deny pain, despair. Life’s colours turn into monotone grey. What he really needs is compassion, understanding not questions.
We can numb selves to what we’re truly feeling. I know how it feels. When numb there’s no pain, powerlessness but no joy, healing, peace either. Numbing seems harmless but diminishes quality of life. Emotions add vividness, vitality, vivacity. Possible to disavow a little at a time. Suggest stop asking why, just be there. Allow to understand triggers for emotional fade out’s.
Senses shrouded by fog will eventually become sharper. Traumas, pain will emerge in consciousness to heal. Then, we discover a deeper self to re-direct energies. One that transmutes pain into positivity, finds balance, flows harmoniously, thinks clearly. Comfortably experience full spectrum of emotions life has to offer with courage, calmness, gratitude, grace.
