Havana…

A city surely keen to visit. Havana (Cuba) boasts classic old monuments, lovely live music, sexy salsa, marvellous mojitos. A fascinating blend of old and new. What an experience rolling down the streets in a classy vintage convertible. A mix of Spanish colonial architecture, booming nightlife, awesome art galleries.

For a small city, Havana has an endless list of things to do. Perfect for a cigar aficionado, rum lovers (rum in a box). Havana has elevated cigar smoking to an art form. Bars with beautiful ocean views, palm trees, peacocks. Ernest Hemingway lived in Havana for 20 years, naturally inspired to write in city bars.

Vibrant labyrinths of narrow streets, lively local neighbourhoods, charming courtyards, fabulous forts, churches. Would love to stroll leisurely, shop around old city. Drink plenty of Guarapo, rustic fresh raw sugar cane juice. Savour good Cuban food. A delicious fusion of African, Spanish cuisine. Rich, dense, tangy, heavy on spices.

Laze at irresistible beaches – Playa Boca Ciega, Playa Jibacoa, Santa María del Mar. Watch Salsa in bars, impromptu dances along sidewalks. Can’t wait for a flight, hopefully soon.
