Email: Feel too many negative emotions. How can I flip it? (Italy)
“Don’t fight pain, negativity. Embrace with great tenderness, like embracing a little baby. Your anger is also yourself. Same for all other emotions” – TN Hanh
Negative feelings are familiar to me, not too long ago. Strangely comforting, felt safe in undeserving dark spaces within. Light felt odd, painful. Wanted to desperately free self from limitations of despair, mental chains holding me back.
Begin with simple affirmations we are worthy of appreciation, success, joy. Negative emotions aren’t bad. A positive fuel, stimulating momentum for challenge, curiosity, creativity, compassion, composure, fresh perspectives, innovative ideas. Darkness disappears when we allow a little sunshine with self-love, self-care, self-belief.
Inner strength is important to be balanced, speaking up for self. If unable to nurture pain, how can we expect things will change? Embracing negative emotions isn’t easy. Takes resolve, resilience for transformative paths, awakening our innate spirit. Return to who we truly are, our natural selves. Back to basics! Then, be best version of selves.
Stop resisting, give feelings a home in our hearts. Accept we avoided healing wounds. Fear, pain, insecurities are normal experiences necessary for evolution, self-discovery.
Make personal space to intuitively listen, understand feelings unconditionally. Don’t make us miserable, rather show what isn’t working in our lives, what needs attention. What would I do differently if I listened to emotions?
Own our shadows, vulnerability. Explore roots gently, patiently work on simple, sound solutions. Things will always happen – work challenges, other aspects. Either we ignore emotional triggers or trust whatever happens is meant to teach meaningful lessons. Maybe, open doors to new adventures, possibilities, paths, purpose to discover, enjoy.
Remember ‘all of us is lovable, we are enough exactly as we are‘.
