Simplicity is a panacea for everything in life. Do it well for beautiful relationships, less stress, increased productivity, personal empowerment, excessive joy in life! Keeping things simple is the most difficult thing to do! It’s not just getting rid of stuff, things.
In our search for simplicity, our initial inclination is to focus on decluttering. When we think giving up, we become a little resistant. Still it’s joyfully, hopefully worth it.
Some key lessons I learned:
- Simplicity is focus on what’s most important rather than effort to declutter.
- Simplicity is clarity of our desires, goals, needs, aspirations, ideas.
- Simplicity is best achieved with small, tangible, measurable steps.
- Simplicity takes time, like any growth process. Patience is key.
- Simplicity is a constant process of regularly revisiting priorities, plans.
- Simplicity is an imperative investment for peace, love, beauty, play.
I have learned reducing quantity of things to do, almost always results in an increase in quality of life, enhanced creativity. Less really is more.
“Simplest things are often the truest.”
