Commitment to duty leaves me feeling tired and out of sorts, today. Started the day in an optimistic frame of mind, an energetic mood. But the stress, strain of objectives weighs heavily. Moving swiftly from task to task without some time to rest in between, phew!
Short breaks during the day can refresh, ensure we can stay focused, calm, enthusiastic. Accomplishing goals is a matter of finding a workable balance between an outwardly-directed drive and our inescapable need to regularly rejuvenate selves. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of pushing selves ever harder in the name of achievements, goals.
Yet while hard work, honesty, perseverance are necessary elements of goal-realisation process, we can’t reach our dreams if we’re constantly overwhelmed, exhausted.
When we integrate adequate periods of rest into our schedules, even if it’s 5 minutes at a time, we emerge so renewed, ready to take on challenges, passionate quests that lie ahead.
