And here I am facing adventure, then why am I so scared?” sings Maria. “You have to live the life you were born to live.” Better to face challenges head on, make our own decisions (Maria learns from Mother Abbess, who sends her back to Captain’s house). There are plenty of things in life that scare us, from silly little pests to storms. But, our self-belief, playful attitudes can overcome it all.
Love, real love happens in most unexpected, surprising ways! It may be rocky at first, when two starkly contrasting personalities clash! But after all that chaos, love always wins. “And somewhere out there is a lady who I think will never be a nun! You can’t marry someone when you’re in love with someone else, can you?!”
