Japanese OnsenNo trip to Japan is complete without a relaxing Onsen. Natural hot springs fuelled by volcanic activity and a very relaxing atmosphere. Ideal time to experience is Feb-April (cherry blossoms), Oct-Dec (autumn colours).

Kusatsu Onsen

Best in Japan. Multiple rich hot springs with volumes of mineral hot water said to cure every illness but lovesickness!

Hakone Onsen

Awesome luxury ryokans – Gora Hanaougi, Gora Kadan, Hakone Suishoen, Hakone Kowakudani Onsen, Yamanochaya. Beautiful mineral enriched hot water springs.

Fuji Kawaguchiko Onsen

Lake Kawaguchiko, base of iconic Mount Fuji. A number of bath houses and ryokans offer indoor, outdoor bathing, Most scenic during spring cherry blossom and autumn leaf viewing.

Beppu Onsen

In addition to traditional onsen bathers enjoy sand baths, covered in naturally heated sand, steam and clay mud baths.

Tours of “hells” or hot springs with unique colors and features. Try boiled eggs boiled with spring waters!

Noboribetsu Onsen

Noboribetsu is a colourful onsen resort in Hokkaido. Called ‘hell valley’. Hot spring baths contain sulfur, hydrogen sulfide which soften, lighten skin. Iron which lessens fatigue.

Kinosaki Onsen

A river lined with willow trees, old fashioned ryokan and nostalgic arcades defines Kinosaki. Voted “best hot spring town” by Lonely Planet.  A sanctuary for endangered oriental stork.

Can’t wait to get to Japan for the ‘real deal’!
