Learning how to make fresh aromatherapy essential oils at home, exciting. Use of  aromatic plant oils generally improves psychological, physical, sexual, emotional well-being. Complementary therapy to conventional evidence-based treatments.

Essential oils are terrific for therapeutic, spiritual, hygienic or ritualistic purposes. Dates back to ancient civilisations – Chinese, Indians, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans. Cosmetics, perfumes, healing medicines were in focus. Oils for aesthetic, ecstatic pleasures.

Dispensed with lamps, incense sticks, scented candles, vaporisers, diffusers. Holistic, natural to manage pain, stress relief, improve sleep, boost quality of life.

Oils extracted from flowers or delicate plant tissues through solvent fluid extractions (vanilla butter, jasmine, lavender). Oily plant bases that dilute essential oils for use on skin (sweet almond, orange, grapefruit). Fragrant oils extracted by steam distillations (eucalyptus, tea-tree, cinnamon, sandalwood). Common herbal distillates like rose, rosemary, mint, chamomile, lemongrass soothing body oils or balms.
