Response to an email from India, on how to overcome fear of being judged by others? Thanks for reaching out. Here’s my perspective, hope this helps:

Worth a view

“One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do, what he was afraid he couldn’t do.” – Henry Ford

Fear is an intense and powerful emotion, makes us afraid to make decisions, take actions or live the life of our dreams. We worry about what others think or say. Create complex mind webs. Basically, try to do everything in our power, to avoid being judged.

Ironically, if our dreams are true, inspiring or significant, the aspirations don’t go away. It nags within, so throttling, ignoring, burying is futile. Funnily, fear can’t be greater than the excitement of winning. Fear is temporary but regret last a lifetime, not worth it.

Me, guilty too often. Our largest fear sometimes, carries our greatest growth, fulfilment.

Sensitively accepting, facing and sharing our deepest, darkest fears with ones you truly trust, will bring encouragement, solutions, compassionate listening, warm hugs and loving kisses. Being open, communicative helps release anxiety and stress to feel safe.

If we trust our inner knowing, individuality, vulnerabilities and strengths, the effect of our judgments become irrelevant. People have perspectives, may have best interest at heart, but won’t truly understand, live our life. Our inner voice or intuitions, never lie.

We shouldn’t disrespect what really matters to our own life’s journey. If our dear ones have conflicting views, we make best efforts to win them over or agree to disagree.

Respecting our inner voice or critic, rejecting negative thoughts will overcome self-sabotage and self-doubt. Instilling a sense of optimism, clarity, hope, self-esteem and self-confidence takes absolute precedence. We are real masters of our own destiny.

“Fear comes from uncertainty. When we are absolutely certain of our ambition, value and experiment, we conquer, impervious to fear.” Analyse, act, inaction leads to fears.

Invest, express and highlight our own uniqueness. Honour our thoughts, knowledge, experience and emotions. When we really strengthen our mind, there is no fear.

Simply, a purely positive perspective brings change, amazing and surprising results.

Years later, got real enlightenment – if we humbly believe, courageously take ownership and responsibility of our own actions and decisions, we will feel satisfied and happy.

“Your life didn’t just happen by chance. You didn’t hit some lucky or unlucky streak. The results you achieved, came from the choices you did or didn’t make.” – Hsu
