We often hear, live your life as if it’s half-full rather than half-empty! We know the story of two people looking at the same glass. One perceives it as half-full while the other sees it as half empty. People belong to one type or the other. When we look at our lives as half-empty, we perceive a sense of lack & think what we truly want is unachievable or beyond our reach. On the other hand, when we look at our lives as half-full, we get a false sense of fullness & accept settling for less than what we deserve or could accomplish, if we genuinely aspired or made a sincere effort.
When we truly reconnect with ourself, we imagine our glass as empty – its nothingness, a clean slate. A vast, free, open & creative space for discovery, exploration, adventure & amazement. Nothingness motivates us to create the life we want, venture & experiment beyond the obvious. This kind of fullness draws positive energy, attracts abundance, joy & fulfilment.
We can just imagine the life of our dreams – without the people, the work we do or our current circumstances. We can see an empty & inviting space to simply explore. Once we see our vision clearly, it fills our mind with creativity & curiosity. We feel inspired to bring our goals & aspirations to life. Even if we if encounter small setbacks, we can still ride the wave considering all the possibilities to determine our plans & actions towards success. Then, we fill it with people, things & places that have an important role to play. Rather than the other way around, letting our circumstances or challenges define us our life’s purpose, essence, meaning & direction.
