We have explored every continent on earth, climbed tallest mountains, gone into space. But, one of the largest areas of our planet remains a unique mystery. Our deep oceans. Over 36,000 feet deep, impossible to reach. Till, technological innovations, engineering break-throughs, teams of engineers, scientists led by explorer Victor Vescovo brought together an audacious global quest to dive to the deepest points of all 5 oceans for the 1st time in history.
Expedition Deep Ocean – Amazon
Expedition Deep Ocean shares the exploration of most mysterious places – Titanic wreck, Hadal Zone. Hidden under-water landscapes, previously unknown life forms to piece together how life exists in our deep oceans.
Team designed the most advanced deep diving submersible able to withstand ocean’s pressure on the sub of 8 tons per square inch, equivalent to 292 fuelled & fully loaded 747s stacked on top. Marvellous, other-worldly life found in our ocean’s 5 deepest trenches. Studies sea mounts that cause tsunamis, shifts in tectonic plates. Filled with adventure, the thrill of discovery to celebrate passion, courage, ingenuity, the beautiful majesty & awe-inspiring importance of our deep oceans.

Despite their very large size, giant Manta Rays are similar to largest fishes & mammals. Constantly swim with their mouths open filtering plankton, small food from the water. Have specialised flaps called cephalic lobes which help direct water, food into their mouths.
Giant Manta Rays are found in tropical, subtropical temperate waters, seen offshore in oceanic waters near coastlines. Most significant threat to giant Manta Rays is commercial fishing. Although conservation measures have helped, demand has increased dramatically in Asian markets for their value as meat, traditional medicinal purposes. Endangered.

One December in South Africa, Tim Dee was watching swallows. They were at home, but the same birds would soon begin journeying to Europe where their arrival marks the beginning of spring.
Spring moves at the speed of a swallow’s flight. Greenery recounts the season of migratory birds making remarkable journeys to keep in step with a time of buds, blossoms & leafing, a time of songs, nests & eggs. We follow European migrant birds staging in Chad & Ethiopia, across the colossal & incomprehensible Sahara. We accompany storks venturing the Straits of Gibraltar, honey buzzards dodging Sicilian hunters.
Greenery is a masterpiece of nature writing. Expansive, natural, profoundly beautiful.

New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) with Uday Foundation, a non-profit organisation in India has initiated a drive to provide blankets to help the homeless keep warm. The target is to collect 60,000 blankets to protect homeless people from an extreme cold & harsh winter.
Project Linus UK distributes quilts & blankets to local hospitals, children’s hospices, women refuges, foster carers, special schools, bereavement services, places where support is given to children in need of a hug in the UK.
For most of us, winter is spent under a blanket of warmth, sipping coffee by a fireplace. But, for those on the streets or in need, each drop in temperature is a desperate fight for survival.
THIS WINTER, HELP KEEP SOMEONE WARM. DONATE A BLANKET, SAVE A LIFE…
