The blog will pick a word of the week, to share & explore the selected word. Here’s an expression for the word – Ifu (clouds in Zulu).

Softly they wander across the blue
Drifting like dreams in a sky so true
White as feathers, light as air
Painting the heavens with a beauty rare.
They drift upon the endless hue
Dressed in silver, white and blue
Like ships that sail a boundless sea
They journey wild, they journey free.
They gather like mountains, majestic and high
Then fade like whispers, as they cross the sky
At sunset they blush in shades of gold
A fleeting story quietly told.
And, when the evening whispers low
They catch the sleeping sun’s last glow
In robes of amber, rose and fire
They churn our hearts with desire.
Sometimes, they darken, heavy with rain
Bringing life to a thirsty plain
Sometimes, they dance in the morning light
Turning the day into pure delight.
No brush can capture their changing art
For every cloud has a unique heart
They inspire us to wander, to dream, to be
Free as the clouds, wild as the sea.
So, we look up into the heavens
When the world feels still, full of walls
We watch those lovely, wandering souls
Float freely over all.
