Not every dawn arrives with trumpets
Nor every joy wears gold

The cool side of a pillow
A breeze that remembers our name.
It is the courage to greet an ordinary morning
As though it were a rare invitation
To gather light from cracked pavements
And fun from the unfinished days.
Joy is not blind to sorrow
It walks beside it
Offering a wildflower to the rain
Teaching heavy hearts
The patient value of love.
Dance when the music is distant
Smile before the reasons appear
Let wonder interrupt our plans
And let the gratitude linger.
Let our spirit wander, bright and free
Collecting miracles too small to name
The art of living blooms most gently
A grateful heart sets every hour aflame.
We choose delight not because the days are kind
But, because light is stubborn in the dark

For life is not measured

Count the strangers, who became stories.
Live graciously that our memories outnumber our regrets.

Others remember us by.
