Infinity ∞

In Taoist philosophy, Wuji (無極) refers to the primordial, the undifferentiated state of the universe before the manifestation of the Taiji (Yin & Yang), representing a state of emptiness, unlimited potential & limitlessness. Infinity. Wuji is depicted as an empty circle, representing the highest possibility for creation & the absence of form. In English, Wuji means nothingness, a void, stillness or the perfect state of non-being. Wuji first appears in the Tao Te Ching (4th century BCE) in the context of returning to one’s original nature. Wuji is infinite, like our unfathomable universe, the light of the suns & the moons. The start of one is the end of another, the end of one is the start of another. Who knows which came first? The eternity loop.
