Like all creative ventures, photography & music require intuition & inspiration. It’s more than just a skill or talent, a passion that needs constant faith & fulfilment. What do we feel when we look at a great photograph? We want to be there, right at the exact moment that photo was taken. When a moment in front of us appears to be particularly special, whether it be by beauty or experience, we instinctively try to capture it.
“My interest in photography is not to capture an image I see or even have in my mind, but to explore the potential of moments I can only begin to imagine”. The camera has always been my guide. It’s allowed me to focus on things that I may normally not notice in our beautiful natural or urban environments, with some sweet-sounding classical cello in the background. One of my favourite instruments with an incomparable vibe. “The two most engaging powers of a photograph or music is to make new things familiar & familiar things new. For me, the cello or the camera is a sketchbook, an instrument of self-expression, sensitivity & spontaneity.”
