Prayas JAC Society is a national level child, youth & women-centric community based non profit service organisation in India. Directly supports the marginalised, vulnerable, destitute, deprived, trafficked & missing children besides homeless people. Run by 600+ professionals through 164 Centres. Reaches over 40,000 beneficiaries by carrying out intensive out-reach programs in 10 states (Delhi, Bihar, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Jharkhand & Kashmir). Carries out direct interventions for women & children in need of care & protection through 38 Shelters. Runs 6 Helplines (1098) for distressed women & children. Promotes programs concerning disasters, education, nutrition, health, policy advocacy, vocational training & life-skills development.
