Mentorship…

Email: Have been assigned a mentor at business school. Any tips? (Australia)

That’s great news. Mentorship can be life changing. Being proactive about our relationship with our mentor is the key to success. How can we find & develop a strong mentoring relationship? We need to ask for the 1st meeting. Initially, a video call is low commitment for our target mentor, gives us an opportunity to understand if we’re the right fit. Nurturing the relationship is important. Take the time to really connect & share our experiences, challenges & aspirations. Active listening is equally essential.

We can show gratitude for their empathy & efforts, helps grow the mentoring relationship. Can demonstrate a return on their investment, their time by keeping them updated on our passion & progress. Absolutely, appreciate the guidance they’re giving. A good mentor leaves a huge imprint on our life. The people we admire have likely had mentors throughout their lives who’ve helped them get to where they’re today. An incredibly inspiring, special bond. All the best.
