A forest is a place of serene tranquillity amongst the chaos of the outside world. Wandering between aged oaks & fields of yellow grass, I’ve often tried to capture the beautiful spring & chilly winter days. Our natural surroundings offer no end to creative inspiration. Nothing is more stunning than the loveliness of the woods before sunrise. Always an adventure, an inspiration waiting in the woods.
There’s an amazing light in the forest – sun as it streams through the branches, sunsets giving a glow over the ponds. Love reflections of the clouds in water. Earth & sky, woods & fields, lakes & rivers, stars & flowers, glaciers & snowflakes, mountains & the sea are excellent teachers. Motivate us to leave the roads & take the trails.

Walking into a forest we hear all kinds of sweet & subtle sounds. But, underneath, there is an all pervasive silence. Anywhere, which is in a mountain forest, is my Zen place. Going to the woods is going home…
