For one’s struggling to find quality hand sanitisers in some countries or keen to experiment, here’s how we can make our own hand sanitisers, based on WHO’s guidelines:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rubbing alcohol (95-99% isopropyl alcohol is best)
- 1 tablespoon hydrogen peroxide (3%)
- 1 teaspoon glycerin or 1/2 cup 100% Aloe Vera Gel
- Clean water
Directions:
- Combine alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, glycerin or aloe vera gel, stir.
- Add water to reach 1 1/3 cups of sanitiser
- Pour mixture into a pump bottle or empty clean bottle
- Essential oils like lavender, lemongrass, eucalyptus, peppermint, sage can be added
- If using essential oils, 2/3 cups rubbing alcohol, 1/3 cup aloe vera gel, 8-10 drops of essential oil
Hope this helps…
