Reading ‘Fireflies’ by Tagore. Magic of trees, open skies, meandering rivers, thick forests, playful gardens with visual bridges teach us to look at variegated patterns of life in colours of nature. As a child, each monsoon ritual was to plant seeds, saplings. Excitement to see little shoots become bigger, difficult to define. Unbelievable joy giving nurturing love, care.
Truest beauty of art is in nature. It’s incredible, enduring, always surprises. Precious masterpieces of natural art in gardens, jungles, mountains, countrysides, seasides. Still air, birds chirping, fireflies, spluttering sail-boats, smashing waves, blue kingfishers, earthy smells. Little coloured matchbox houses creating splotchy splashes of colour in reflections on water.
