An experiment to reduce our work-week by 1 day led to a 40% boost in productivity in Microsoft Japan, technology giant announced.
Trial was part of Microsoft’s Work-Life Choices Challenge. A project that examined work-life balance, aimed to help boost creativity, productivity by giving employees more flexible working hours. Also reduced time spent in meetings by implementing a 30-minute limit. Encouraged, stimulated sharper on-site, remote communications.
Helped conserve electricity, water, office resources as well. Number of pages printed decreased by 58%, electricity consumption less 23%.
