Kid & I volunteered to work at bush-fire animal shelters in Australia for 10 days over Chinese New Year. An absolutely beautiful, poignant, memorable experience. We were warned volunteers must be able to cope with the disturbing reality of severely burnt wildlife.
Feeding, holding, cuddling injured Koalas, Kangaroos, Wallabies was an unforgettable experience. A real hands-on interaction helping vulnerable animals impacted by deadly bush-fires. A safe sanctuary for distraught animals. A compassionate learning experience for the kid. Re-connecting with heart-center, inner child for me.
With so much natural habitat, sources of food destroyed, animals that survived bush-fires now face starvation, dehydration. Hope we can prevent a second wave of disaster by taking urgent action to save surviving native wildlife. Bush-fires raging in Australia have taken a massive toll on animals, more than 1 billion have died so far.
Please donate time, resources, funds generously to save precious wildlife. Surely appreciated by displaced, distressed animals.
Those are yours alright! . We at least need to get these people stealing images to start blogging! They probably just did a image search and grabbed them. They look good though!
