The black jacobin, (Portuguese: beija-flor-preto), (Florisuga fusca), previously placed in the monotypic Melanotrochilus, is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is found in or near Atlantic Forest of eastern Brazil, Uruguay, eastern Paraguay, and far north-eastern Argentina.
