Such striving may seem admirable, but it’s the way to nowhere.
Help them instead find wonder, marvel in ordinary life.
Show them the joy of tasting tomatoes, apples, pears,
Show them how to cry when pets die.
Show them infinite pleasure in the touch of a hand, a hug,
Make the ordinary come alive for them.
The extra-ordinary will take care of itself”.
