Email: What do you miss the most about childhood? (Indonesia school)
Tree-house. Even as kids there’s no way to escape troubles of daily life – chores, home-work! Miss the rush to ascend into the welcoming embrace of my tree-house. Like a bird in nest, tucked in the branches, cloaked within curtains of green leaves. A space to freely feel, clearly think, release pent up craziness, unleash creative imaginations. Also, enjoy a beautiful birds-eye view of all that remained below.
Sometimes, invited school friends to join in for a ‘tree party’. A perfect private hide-out, a haven to be fully me with music, books, chocolates in an over-stuffed back-pack! Shared hidden secrets, dreams with the mango tree which very patiently listened, didn’t move at all. Often a simple spark, a fresh view is just what we need to de-stress, find joy, playfulness we’ve been missing.
