Devastating bush-fires have spread across Australia for months, showing no signs of slowing down. So far, 12.5 million acres have burned destroying more than 1,500 homes, killing at least 23 people.
More than 1/2 a billion wild animals have perished in flames, expected to exponentially increase. Entire towns have evacuated to shores, volunteer fire-fighters have left families, careers to fight flames around the clock.
Majority of Koalas on Australia’s east coast live within ‘Koala Triangle’, could be soon extinct. Fires are raging, potentially accelerating this timeline.
