A journey which started with 25 children in 1988, now serves over 50,000 children, youth, women. Addresses multiple issues in child protection, juvenile justice, education, urban homelessness, human-trafficking, migration, disaster management. Offers practical vocational life skills training, water, sanitation, health, hygiene, income generation schemes, promotion of entrepreneurship, facilitation of credit through micro finance operations.
Prayas runs 242 centers, 47 Homes, shelters under Juvenile Justice Act, Children in Conflict Act. A 24/7 emergency CHILD LINE 1098 ensures urgent relief, care for distressed, abused children.
