IONA – a favourite place in the whole wide world. A small, breath-taking island in the Inner Hebrides off Ross of Mull on western coast of Scotland.

Famous for iconic Iona Abbey. Angelic, holy charm. Centre of Gaelic monasticism for 3 centuries. The cradle of Christianity in Scotland. Benedictine Abbey is one of the best-preserved medieval nunneries in Britain. St. Columba’s Bay is believed to be the place where St. Columba landed on Iona in 563 AD.

Island’s white sandy beaches are synonymous with tranquility, natural beauty. A heaven for pristine, peaceful, restful retreats. Incredible island is a source of inspiration to many, including Mendelssohn’s Fingal’s Cave composition. A masterpiece in classical music.

Fingal’s sea cave on the uninhabited island of Staffa in the Inner Hebrides is known for beautiful natural acoustics.
