Orangutans

Each year, 3000-5000 Orangutans are killed. Often, deliberately for a bounty as they are harvest predator’s in the palm oil plantations in Indonesia. Animal traders illegally sell the defenceless orphans as pets. Mothers are intentionally shot dead. Borneo Orangutans are the most endangered species.

During rehabilitation as babies, they live in the loving care of human surrogate mothers. Later, in the forest schools they learn the vital skills for living in the wild like searching for food, building nests & climbing. At age 7, they are finally set free. Hope this beautiful animal can survive extinction under focused supervision, protection & surveillance.
