Email: Mom cries on any occasion, embarrassing. Is this normal? (Italy)
OMG! Think, it’s wonderful to let tears flow when we’re feeling a bit emotional – joyous or sad. Tears come straight from the heart, unstoppable! When we give in to prickling in our eyes, lumps in our throat, let tear drops fall, simply allow sentiments to surface to be lovingly set free.
Proud parents shed tears of pride in a child’s accomplishment, baby’s first steps, birthday’s, graduation’s. Tears flow while we’re watching romantic or tragic movies. Tears of relief may spring forth when we hear a loved one survived an ordeal. Tears may fall when we bow our head in sorrow over loss. Tears trickle down when lover’s kiss after return from call of duty!
We can shed tears due to disappointments, pain, illness, as well. Regardless, tears offer a physical release of pent up emotions. Sometimes, shedding tears makes us feel better, although it can feel like tears will never end once floodgates are open.
There’s no shame in letting tears flow freely. Tears are as natural as breathing. There’s beauty in fragility, a little vulnerability. A woman’s strength lies in her tenderness, compassion.
