Universe…

Each time we think that we know what our universe is, it turns out there’re many unsolved mysteries & secrets. Once upon a time, we thought that our universe was just planet Earth – a sun, a moon, a sky & a lot of stars. Then, we discovered a number of planets with their own sun’s & moon’s. Soon, we stumbled upon multiple solar systems! Initially, our universe was what we called our galaxy. Thereafter, a number of galaxies! How many – 5? 500? 5 million?

There’re zillions of similar universe’s that are not our universe. A multiverse. We live in a multiverse. Physicists say that we live in a multiverse of a different sort. All galaxies that we know obey the same physics, the same basic laws, the same constant values like speed of light.

However, what’s called a ‘type 2 multiverse‘ consists of universe’s where the fundamental constant’s have entirely different values. Alternative universe’s working in unique ways like the speed of light measured with a different formula. Different equations e=mc3 instead of 2?

Given enough universe’s, what’re the odds that at least one is hospitable to human life? What a delightful discovery that would be?  Maybe, we will find a friend out there, somewhere in the unknown!
