Stand-up meetings…

Tested concept of ‘stand-up only‘ meetings for an intensive 4 week work project. Attendees participated while standing, scribbling on sticky notes, speaking in turns for short periods of 30-45 minutes (indoors & outdoors).

Think, a sort of constant practice may promote creative outcomes, better structures, higher quality of knowledge transfers, pro-active intentions, effective participation, flow of ideas, results-driven team spirit.

Agendas themed as 2-3 clear questions, no open-ended topics. Good collaboration tool, reduced emails. Just need to ensure we understand goals of stand-up’s, teams prepared to share with focused pre-work.

Provides quick visibility into progress of tasks, plans. Helps prioritise resources, assign next steps, overcome challenges, communicate efficiently in casual, natural stress-free environments.
