Secret beaches…

Reading about beautiful beaches. There’re still some swaths of sand and surf that remain blissfully untouched. Sure a little out of the way, but alluring. Secret beaches worth making a once in a lifetime trip.

Ionian island of Zakynthos (Greece), Smuggler’s Cove (Navagio Beach) named after shipwrecked vessel that lies on the golden sands. One visit will wish to be marooned here for eternity. Postcard worthy water-front, aquamarine waves, imposing limestone cliffs. Base jumpers plunge 650 feet from rocks into crystal clear surf.

Phu Quoc in Vietnam, plenty of unspoiled stretches (protected national parkland). An equal mix of pleasure, relaxation at Bai Truong (Long Beach), picture-perfect leaning palms, azure waters, fresh squid.

Australia’s Lord Howe Island is blissfully remote. UNESCO World Heritage Site. Snorkel colourful reefs teeming with aquatic life. Scenic lagoons, turtles at Old Settlement Beach.

Cobalt skies, dramatic granite boulders, gently lapping waves, swaying stooped palms make Seychelles’ ideal for photo shoots. Anse Source d’Argent on La Digue offshore reef creates inlets perfect for swimming. Charming coconut plantations, giant tortoise sanctuary.

Lumahai Beach, Hawaii is gorgeous. White sands beckon, secluded swimming holes, strong currents make waves quite dangerous but delightful.
