Recognition…

Email: Have been writing blog but no recognition. Sad. (Malaysia)

Gifts we are born with, those we develop vary in form, function. Some used for mundane stuff, others useful in special situations. Yet, many times we overlook opportunities to share our unique gifts. It may be fear of criticism that holds us back, paralysing weight of uncertainty of response.

Ultimately, we doubt innate talents, practiced skills. Can these truly add value to others? There’s immense value in willingly, honestly sharing our wisdom, experiences. Whether we’ve been blessed with abilities to awaken beautiful emotions through art or aptitudes to transmit scientific knowledge, our gifts are a part of who we are.

Our identity is defined in part by our gifts. To use our talents is to reveal we understand selves, believe in little contributions. Our precious skills can be life-affirming, positively touch lives. Each gift lying dormant has potential to fill a void in someone’s life.

As we embrace our gifts, allow our little light to shine. By simply doing what we’re good at, loving what we do makes a positive difference. Recognition we receive for efforts will pale in comparison to satisfaction when we fulfil potential. Write whole-heartedly, express creatively without expectations.
