Inner dialogue…

Email: Feel moody, irritated with work interactions. (Egypt)

Often, sensitivity’s because emotions are in over-drive. Worth being aware of self-talk as we relate with people. Consciously notice negative, difficult thoughts during interactions.

Try imagine we have 2 activated parts in the brain. One part involved in the conversation. Other an objective, non-judgemental observer. Journal or analyse thoughts based on reality of conversation versus those due to distorted inner dialogue. Helps gain a realistic, big picture of environment. Reviewing plans in detail gives light-bulb moments on how to improve efforts, focus to achieve goals.

Being attuned to inner dialogue, instincts, insights motivates to fully understand nature of interactions. Often, we can project our own emotion onto others, mis-interpret. Maybe, seek clarity, feedback or guidance on stuff to avoid mood swings. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Sometimes, life’s a series of comic moments put together! Look at events from a spontaneous, light place of amused detachment, humour.

Neutral, humble observation of self separates emotion from fact. We can then enhance nature of interactions, compassion. Emotion and logic need to seamlessly, effortlessly ‘fit’ in healthy, happy interactions, like lock and key. Self-reflection is the best school of wisdom. Stimulates sincere self-development, success.
