Foreigner – an English–American rock band, originally formed in New York (1976) by Mick Jones, Ian McDonald, American vocalist Lou Gramm.

Jones coined the band’s name. Mick Jones, Ian McDonald, Dennis Elliott were British, while Lou Gramm, Al Greenwood, Ed Gagliardi were American.

Biggest hit single, “I Want to Know What Love Is”, topped UK, US charts. One of world’s best-selling bands with sales of over 80 million records.
