Solitude

Why Solitude? – Forbes

There’s solace in solitude, even self-discovery. We can nurture ourself, seek inner guidance, call upon our spirit for positive energy or practice mindfulness. At times, solitude gives our mind a free space to think out of the box with unique insights & ideas. Time alone balances & grounds our mind, body & heart. Puts things back into perspective. That’s why creative artists – painters, musicians or writers love to spend some time alone.

Spending time alone doesn’t need to be lonely. We can also spend time with people who share & understand our silence. Solitude builds a nourishing, assuring & healing connection with ourself. Even if we let human contact fall briefly, we’re still connected with all living beings. Stillness enhances endurance, emotional & mental resilience.  In a world of over-stimulation, our mind is constantly in an overactive mode. Solitude helps listen to our heart & detach from endless external chatter for energetic renewal. It allows rest, relaxation & rejuvenation.
