Dark ‘black moon’ nights and no less than 3 meteor showers makes next 10 days for seeing sensational shooting stars. Result of Earth busting through streams of dust particles left in solar system by passing comets. Also, a great time to see the Milky Way.
Under a clear, dark sky such as a park away from light pollution, our galaxy will be visible to naked eye. Delta Aquarid meteor showers began early July till 23rd August, peak night’s on 28th-29th July. Delta Aquarid meteor showers ought to produce about 20 shooting stars per hour. Joined by Alpha Capricornid producing 5 shooting stars per hour.
Perseid meteor shower is the easiest to see with 60 shooting stars per hour. Timing, location, preparation is needed. Best time to see shooting stars is early morning hours between 1:00 am – 5:00 a.m. Obviously best under darkest, clearest skies possible.
