Udaipur (city of lakes), a sweet dream where beautiful palaces are reflected in sparkling water. One of India’s most romantic towns. City gets it’s name from lovely lakes – Pichola, Udai Sagar, Fateh Sagar, Rajsamand, Jaisamand.
Udaipur’s picturesque landscapes, historic palaces, awesome architecture is incredibly inspiring. Lake Palace on Pichola Lake is an icon. Young prince, Maharana Jagat Singh II of Udaipur was often caught frolicking at moon-light picnics with ladies of ‘zenana‘ (private chambers of court). A pleasure palace called Jag Niwas. Majestic, magnificent.
James Bond film ‘Octopussy’ was filmed here. Known as Venice of East, Udaipur with elaborate palaces, serene lakes, exotic temples, gorgeous gardens is an incredible oasis.
