Email: What’s our ‘true self? Where is it? (US)
Our true selves exist. Often, buried under learned behaviour! Identity is an elusive concept. Wants to be defined with relatively small selections of roles, experiences, conscious character traits. Even if none accurately represent ‘self’. Sometimes, we mechanically suppress sensitivity, emotional, intellectual vibrancy due to many factors.
Know when we compassionately reflect, recognise, respect, relate to innate spirit, uniqueness, passion, wisdom. Live lives of appreciation, fulfilment, grace. When younger our thoughts, feelings were enthusiastic expressions of self. Didn’t downplay creativity, curiosity. Embraced life naturally, fully. Can be re-ignited by accepting duality within (light, dark).
Re-discovering takes patience, humility, intuitive insights, non-judgemental mental assessments. ‘Saving one-self’! Recovering actual identity from acquired. Finding a calm sense of assurance, wholeness, harmony, balance (material, physical, intellectual, emotional) between inner, outer personas.
