Received many email perspectives on ‘value of vulnerability’. Appreciate great feedback. Listened, learnt from notes. Very open to new ideas, thought processes.
Firstly, humbly re-iterate opinions shared are not for approvals or acceptances. Mainly, an evocative, interactive, flexible, fun intention.
Reasons clearly cited in emails for ‘non-vulnerability’:
- Cultural upbringing
- Loss of power
- Chance of losing self, risk
- Unfamiliar experiences
- Judgement, failure
Understand, fully relate. Have experienced similar sentiments. Especially tough for introverts! Blog is one such effort to show up for open, authentic sharing.
Points to consider just a little:
What resonates with our own knowing? What do we really want? By not exploring, pursuing our raw, natural instincts, passions, dreams, goals we’ve already lost our power. We’ve already lost who we are, freedom to be. What matters most, worth the risk? What if’s, self-sabotage?
How do we build self-love, self-belief, self-satisfaction? How do we expand meaningful learnings without a few calculated, unfamiliar experiences? We’ve innately been curious about stuff since childhood, why stop? Vulnerable, honest moments can’t be measured for returns on investments. Priceless, unforgettable treasures. Unique experiences are scary but challenge, define who we are, our legacy.
Beautiful balance, awesome alignment, energetic effort is needed between our outer (material, physical), inner world’s (mental, emotional) for amazing abundance, strength, compassion.
Vulnerability is birthplace of love, belonging, courage, growth, innovation, creativity.
Just ‘being ourselves‘ is the biggest achievement, in a world which is constantly trying to change who we are!
