With any negativity, there’s pain underneath. We react emotionally without understanding, interpreting why?
Negativity’s a natural response to perceived threats. Although we view anger in negative light, I’ve learnt anger is valid, like joy. Unpleasant emotions help. Reveal wounds within to be recognised. Fully accept who we are!
Exploring triggers helps. We’re conditioned to reactions. Take on fears of environments. When something triggers those fears again, we react unknowingly.
When delved into my causes, learnt of conditioning. Developed crazy coping mechanisms. Now, try to transmute sensitivity into inner strength, passion. Understanding triggers feels uncomfortable. But, clearing patterns feels lovely, liberating. Way forward is patiently heal. Conditioning is years of reinforced ideas. Be compassionate, absolutely no self-criticisms, judgements.
Techniques that helped me break a few negative cycles:
1. No reaction, pause.
When we experience familiar feelings of frustration, pause 15 seconds! Space to reflect. Explore root cause. Accept, flow, let go.
2. How does it feel?
Just be still, allow. These sensations need recognition. Send loads of love, care.
3. Identify go to response.
How do I usually think, feel? Does it cause suffering? Can I respond differently?
4. Reflect.
Act with self-love, self-forgiveness. Re-claim positive energy, value, balance. Belief conquers all.
5. Practice awareness.
It’s like re-writing our story with inner wisdom. It’s okay to make mistakes, feel negative emotions, we’re still loved. Self-discovery brings fun, freedom. 2 reactions to negativity – sucked into darkness or transmute into light.
