Cafe: Teenagers, ‘what is Nirvana?’. ‘Of course, famous American rock band’!
One of them just spun around, randomly asked, ‘what do you think?’
Me: Hmm, how do we simplify a concept which best philosophers struggle to define? I’m surely no expert on Nirvana!
Guess, tranquil stillness of mind, freedom of creative expression, attainment of potential, joy, liberation from worldly fears / entanglements, pursuing paths to bliss-points.
Recognising we’re infinite beings. Born with a purpose to evolve, learn, co-create compassionately with universe. Humbly flowing with nature’s rhythms. Aligned, balanced peace – mind, body, heart, spirit. Fully, generously in the moment.
Trusting inner knowing, whole-hearted experiences. Belief in inherent value & worth. Believing is seeing!
Teenagers: Exotic concept, tough!
Me: Concept is not a way of living but a state of being. Music is also a form of ‘Nirvana’. Stirs innocent heart-strings, playful harmony, inspiration.
Phew, awkward spontaneous spotlight. Hope Buddha forgives me, if incorrect!
